ABSTRACT:
This presentation focuses on the computational design of next-generation damage-tolerant materials using Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations. By leveraging MD simulations, we can model and predict material behavior at the atomic level, allowing for the design of materials with enhanced properties. I will present two key examples: first, how MD simulations are used to develop cavitation-resistant materials, and second, the creation of materials that balance both strength and ductility. These case studies highlight the power of computational techniques in advancing the design of materials for real-world applications
