Conferences

Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute in Computational Science and Engineering (PASI Conference): To date, the Computational Science Research Center and San Diego State University, in conjunction with various universities in Latin America, have hosted five PASI conferences. The goals of this institute are to promote in-depth computational science and engineering knowledge, encourage training, and foster cooperation among diverse researchers and academics in the Americas.

Pan-American Workshop in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science (PanAm Conference): A key goal of this workshop is to bring together practicing applied and computational mathematicians to exchange the latest research information and to promote outreach to create computational and applied mathematics networks in Latin America.

National Conferences: The CSRC is frequently represented at a multitude of important national conferences, with students and faculty participating in different capacities, from acting as guest lecturers and presenting their research to sponsoring recruitment booths.

Upcoming Conferences

Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS): ABRCMS is the largest professional conference for biomedical and behavioral students, including mathematics. The conference is designed to encourage underrepresented minority students to pursue advanced training, and to provide faculty mentors and advisors with resources for facilitating students’ success.
