ABSTRACT:

Within ExxonMobil we use synthetic seismic modeling to screen assets for 4D suitability, predict the optimal timing for monitor surveys and to evaluate the match between reservoir simulation and actual 4D data. In this presentation I will discuss how we use geological models, reservoir simulations and rock physics models to generate our predictions of the seismic changes due to hydrocarbon production.
