ABSTRACT:

Ongoing curriculum development in the CSRC has resulted in an evolution of the course: Scientific Visualization & Communication. Using a workplace model as an alternative to the traditional teaching paradigm, this semester?s class has produced an interactive web site to teach about the human brain. My students and I will present a report of our accomplishments in this iteration of the new curriculum. You will see the interactive tour of the brain that the students created, hear about some of the challenges they faced during production, and get a preliminary assessment of the work as a teaching tool. I have collected subjective evaluations from the students on the efficacy of the learning experience and the fairness of the grading method.
