ABSTRACT:
Ongoing curriculum development in the CSRC has resulted in an evolution of the course: ?Scientific Visualization & Communication?. Using a ?workplace model? as an alternative to the traditional teaching paradigm, this semester?s class has produced a scientific poster representing an overview of the CSRC. My students and I will present a report of our accomplishments in this iteration of the new curriculum. You will see the poster that the students created, hear about some of the challenges they faced during production, and get a preliminary assessment of the workplace model as a teaching tool. I have collected subjective evaluations from the students on the efficacy of the learning experience and the fairness of the grading method
