ABSTRACT:

Anthony Newman is a publisher for Life Sciences Journals at Elsevier, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Over the last few years, Anthony has presented more than one hundred lectures to a total of over 5,000 attendees. He currently is responsible for several applied biochemistry and clinical chemistry journals. After joining 28 years ago, Anthony has been employed as a publisher for the last 16 years with Elsevier. Prior to being a publisher, he was a marketing communications manager for the biochemistry journals. By training, Anthony is a polymer chemist and was active in industry before leaving London and moving to the Netherlands in 1987.

This lecture is aimed at anyone who is thinking about sharing their findings in the lab through a scientific publication. It is also for those who are routinely publishing and still have questions about how to find the best journals for their papers, the best navigating the referee process, and understanding how editors and publishers think and what they expect.
