High-Order Mimetic Differences and Applications
TIME: 3:30 PM
LOCATION: GMCS 314
SPEAKER: Miguel Dumett, Computational Science Research Center, San Diego State University
ABSTRACT:
In this talk we introduce mimetic differences as a special kind of not fully mimetic approach for solving numerically partial differential equations. In addition, some of the most important properties of these techniques are exhibited: discrete analogs of vector calculus identities, mass and energy conservation, and convergence of the mimetic schemes.
