ABSTRACT:
The relationship between classical finite geometry and the theory of linear block codes has been established early in the development of coding theory. This talk deals with an adaptation of finite geometry to the situation when ring-linear codes are involved. We will present a selection of observations that motivate further discussion and research in this direction.
