Computer simulations
become more realistic as they include
interactions between different physical
phenomena. The General Curvilinear
Ocean Model - Next Generation (GCOM-NG)
is an ocean numerical model that uses
a general curvilinear staggered mesh.
It is part of the General Curvilinear
Environmental System (GCES), which
is a work in progress system that
will include a General Curvilinear
Atmosphere Model among others modules.
The aim is to develop a library in
order to provide to the GCOM-NG the
capability to interact or couple with
other models, components or modules
in the GCES. The library should be
user friendly and avoid intrusive
code in the models. In addition, the
coupling could be with models running
sequentially or concurrently. At this
stage, the project is introduced and
preliminary progress about the implementation
are shown. |
