Building Strong Partnerships With US Industry Through................. Research, Development, Training
The Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) is dedicated to preparing students for fulfilling careers in the world of high-technology. Consequently, we continuously seek out guidance from members of industry on how to prepare young talent for seamless assimilation into jobs in the technology sector. In an annual panel discussion, educators and industry representatives discuss the merits of our interdisciplinary program and generate fresh ideas for curriculum improvement.
In this annual panel discussion, students, educators, and industry representatives meet to discuss the merits of the CSRC's interdisciplinary programs and generate fresh ideas for curriculum improvement. Students are also encouraged to present posters of their research projects, including discussing their research with judges, professors, and fellow students.
Through a partnership with academia, the Applied Computational Science and Engineering Student Support (ACSESS) program provides U.S. industry with a unique opportunity to help capture and sustain global economic leadership.
ACSESS provides access to the next generation of engineers, scientists, and researchers in order to help businesses directly address critical industrial problems.
Computational scientists and engineers have the interdisciplinary training and expertise to address a wide set of industrial problems in a range of areas. These areas include product engineering, safety engineering, and environmental engineering.
Computational scientists also solve sophisticated industrial design problems. Having access to expertise in solving those often-intractable problems can help keep your products and services ahead of the competition.
By supporting specific graduate and postdoctoral students pursuing their Computational Science and Engineering (CS&E) studies, businesses can develop the next generation of key employees.
This is the ninth year the Computational Science Research Center has presented the Curriculum Development Forum and ACSESS for Industry event. Take a look back at past event topics, keynote speakers, panelists, poster presentations, and pictures.
