Modeling Coastal
Circulation in Curvilinear Coordinates
|
|
|
| Course
Description
|
| In this course we will
outline the hydrodynamics and numerical
foundations upon which the current
ocean models rest, as well as to provide
the initial tools for beginners to
simulate the oceanic environment using
the GCOM model. There will be exercises
using GCOM with simpler and complex
geometries. Applications to the Gulf
of California and Bahía de
Todos los Santos in Ensenada, Lake
Valencia in Venezuela and Monterey
Bay in California will be presented.
