Application Deadline:

Applications for the PhD Program in Computational Science and Computational Science with concentration in Computational Statistics are accepted for the Fall semester only.

February 1

US and International Students to be guaranteed consideration for FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

March 15

US and International Students NOT
requesting financial support.

INCOMPLETE PACKETS WILL NOT BE REVIEWED OR CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.

Application Checklist:

When applying to the Joint SDSU/CGU PhD Program in Computational Science and Computational Science with concentration in Computational Statictics, you must send two sets of materials—one to SDSU Graduate Admissions (Item I. below) and one to the Computational Science Joint Doctoral Program (Item II below).

I. SDSU GRADUATE ADMISSIONS MATERIALS

NEW SDSU STUDENTS, to apply on-line, follow the instructions at the CSU Mentor site, http://www.csumentor.edu
CURRENT SDSU STUDENTS, complete Application for Classified Graduate Standing through Graduate and Research Affairs. You do not need to complete the online application.

OR:

For International Students: Apply online through an application for graduate admission from: http://www.isc.sdsu.edu/prospective/iwant_graduate2.html You may pay by credit card at that time or by mailing a U.S. check or international money order to the Cashier's Office.
GRE scores (only the General Test is required) Note: GRE General Test scores must be sent directly to SDSU Graduate Admissions. When requesting GRE scores, use our institution code: R4682. If you have presented the GRE general test within the past five years you do not need to retake it.
Residency form, if necessary (the form explains who must submit it.)

II. COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE JOINT DOCTORAL PROGRAM MATERIALS

Joint Doctoral Program in Computational Science Application Form OR
Joint Doctoral Program in Computational Science with concentration in Computational Statistics Application Form
Claremont Graduate University (CGU) Application Form. PLEASE DO NOT SEND TO CGU. $55 CGU Application Fee is not required with this document.
One OFFICIAL sets of transcripts from each post-secondary institution listed on your application form. Unofficial transcripts or copies are not accepted. Note: We require the Official set of transcripts to be sent directly to the Computational Science Joint Doctoral Program. This is in addition to any requests you may receive from SDSU Graduate Admissions.
Submit three Letters of Recommendation, at least one of which is from a former professor in the selected field of study.
Statement of Purpose.
Current Resume.
